EVALUATING THE ROLE OF RADIO IN CREATING AWARENESS ON DOMESTIC VIOLENCE (A STUDY OF “KOKORO ALATE” ON AGIDIGBO 88.7 FM, IBADAN)
Abstract
This study examined the Effectiveness of “Kokoro Alate” Radio Programme in Creating Awareness Against Domestic Violence Among Residents of Agbowo Express Area, Ibadan. The main objective was to investigate how effectively the programme educates, informs, and influences public attitudes and actions towards domestic violence in the community. The research adopted a survey method and data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents within the study area. The analysis of the responses provided valuable insights into the programme’s impact on listeners’ knowledge, attitudes, and behaviours.
