ALUMNI ONLINE PHOTO ALBUM FOR 2025 GRADUATED STUDENT KANO STATE POLYTECHNIC
Abstract
The Alumni Online Photo Album for 2025 Graduated Student Kano State
Polytechnic project was designed to provide a digital platform for storing,
organizing, and displaying alumni records in a structured and accessible format.
The system addressed major challenges associated with physical yearbooks such
as limited accessibility, damage, and loss of student information over time. The
project was implemented using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with Firebase
Authentication used to secure administrative access while alumni records were
stored using a JSON data structure. The main objective was to develop a
lightweight, cost-effective, and user-friendly system that preserved alumni data
and ensured easy retrieval and search functions. The results of the system
implementation showed that the platform successfully displayed student profiles,
supported search operations, and provided a responsive interface across devices.
The project concluded that a simple web-based architecture was effective for
departmental-level digital archiving. The future direction includes integrating
cloud storage, expanding admin tools, and enabling self-service updates by
alumni to enhance sustainability and scalability.
