DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AN ONLINE MARKETPLACE FOR EGGS AND POULTRY BOOKING SYSTEM
Abstract
The study focuses on the design and implementation of an online marketplace for eggs poultry
booking system. The project aims to provide a digital platform that connects poultry farmers
directly with consumers, retailers, and distributors, thereby improving accessibility,
transparency, and efficiency in egg sales and distribution. Traditional egg marketing methods
often involve middlemen, leading to increased costs, limited reach, and lack of real-time
information on availability and pricing. To address these challenges, the system was designed
using web technologies such as HTML, CSS, PHP, and MySQL database to ensure a user-
friendly interface and secure data management. The platform allows users to register, browse
available poultry products, place and manage orders, make online payments, and receive
delivery updates. Farmers can also manage inventory and monitor sales performance. The
system design follows a structured methodology, including requirement analysis, system
modeling, and implementation testing to ensure functionality, reliability, and scalability. The
results of the implementation show that the system enhances convenience, reduces transaction
time, and promotes direct interaction between producers and consumers. It is therefore
recommended as a sustainable digital solution for improving the poultry value chain and
fostering agribusiness growth.
