Abstract
ABSTRACT
This comprehensive literature review and empirical investigation examine the concepts of knowledge-sharing and mentoring practices in academic institutions, with a specific focus on their impact on undergraduate students' academic performance, career development, and organizational growth. The review synthesizes insights from various scholars, highlighting the importance of knowledge sharing and mentoring in enhancing academic performance, career advancement, and organizational success.
The findings of the review suggest that effective mentoring practices, including goal-setting, feedback and coaching, role modeling, networking, reflection, and self-awareness, can have a positive impact on mentees' academic and professional development. The review also emphasizes the need for academic institutions to provide opportunities for knowledge-sharing and mentoring practices, such as formal mentoring programs, peer mentoring, and e-mentoring, to enhance undergraduate students' academic performance.
Furthermore, the review highlights the importance of communication openness, interpersonal communication, and emotional support in mentoring relationships. The study also identifies gaps in the literature, including the need for more research on the impact of knowledge-sharing and mentoring practices on undergraduate student's academic performance in different institutional contexts.
