Abstract

E-library systems are vulnerable to a range of backend threats such as SQL Injection (SQLi), Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), broken authentication, insecure API endpoints, and token misuse. These attacks can compromise the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of resources, thus affecting the credibility of the institutions that manage them. The backend, which serves as the core of these systems, handles data processing, authentication, and communication between the server and clients. Therefore, securing the backend becomes a critical requirement. This study focuses on identifying these vulnerabilities and implementing effective security mechanisms particularly around SQLi, XSS, JWT-based authentication, and middleware and firewall configurations to enhance the resilience of e-library management systems against malicious threats.
