DESIGN OF POWER SUPPLY MODEL OF CCTV SYSTEM
Abstract
This project presents the “Design of Power Supply Model of CCTV” in Computer Science Department Exam Office, aimed at enhancing security in examination venues. Traditional CCTV systems are heavily reliant on grid power, which often proves unreliable, especially in regions prone to frequent power outages or unstable electricity supply. This can compromise the continuous monitoring necessary for maintaining the integrity of examinations, leading to security risks and malpractice. To address this issue, the project explores the implementation of a sustainable and reliable solar-powered solution that ensures uninterrupted surveillance, even during power outages. The system utilizes solar energy to power CCTV cameras, providing a cost-effective and environmentally sustainable alternative to conventional grid-based systems. The project details the design and implementation phases, including hardware and software integration, system configuration, and energy optimization techniques. A significant focus is placed on the reliability and efficiency of the solar power system, with considerations for battery performance and energy consumption. The system's performance is evaluated through various metrics, including power generation, battery health, camera functionality, and overall uptime. Additionally, the study highlights the scalability of the system, offering a model that can be replicated in other departments or institutions. By incorporating renewable energy into security infrastructure, this project not only addresses the challenges posed by power instability but also contributes to environmental sustainability. The findings demonstrate that solar-powered CCTV systems can be a viable solution for enhancing security in critical environments like examination venues.
