DESIGN AND PRODUCTION OF CHILDREN'S ACCESSORIES AGED 3-8 (JEWELLERY SHOES AND HANDBAGS)
Abstract
ABSTRACT
This project focuses on the design and production of children’s accessories, specifically *shoes (Mary Jane style), jewellery (bracelets and necklaces), and handbags*, suitable for children aged 3 to 8 years. The aim was to create attractive, age-appropriate, and functional items using safe, affordable, and durable materials. Materials such as EVA foam, beads, fabric, cardboard, and glue were used to produce the accessories. Basic tools like scissors, needles, thread, and pincers were applied. Patterns were made for proper sizing, and each item was carefully crafted with bright colors and playful designs to match children's preferences. The results showed that locally available materials can be effectively used to produce quality children’s fashion items. This project promoted creativity, sustainability, and skill development in design and handcrafting. It also highlighted the importance of safety and comfort when creating accessories for young children.
