FACTORS INFLUENCING USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA ON SMARTPHONES AMONG STUDENTS OF FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC OFFA
Abstract
This study focused on factors influencing use of social media on smartphones among students of Federal Polytechnic Offa.The objective of the study is to examines what prompt Nigerian youths in the use of social media on smartphone, to know what else Nigerian youths use smartphones for aside social media, and specially find out how frequent Nigerian youths visit the social media on smartphones. Survey method was employed in this study, sample size was calculated using Taro Yamene, a total number of 400 respondents was sampled. Uses and gratification and Technological Determinism Theory (TDT) gave the research theoretical backing.
