RISK MANAGEMENT AS A MEANS OF MINIMISING ACCIDENT IN THE MARITIME INDUSTRY IN NIGERIA
Abstract
The maritime industry plays a crucial role in Nigeria’s economic development, serving as a major channel for international trade, oil and gas transportation, and logistics. However, the sector is often confronted with various risks, including operational hazards, environmental challenges, and human errors, which frequently result in accidents, loss of lives, and property damage. This study examines risk management as an effective tool for minimizing accidents within Nigeria’s maritime industry.
