Abstract

This project explores the application of linear programming (LP) techniques, specifically the simplex method, in solving production optimization problems involving matrices. Linear programming is a critical tool in various fields, enabling the optimization of ob-jectives such as minimizing costs or maximizing efficiency, subject to a set of linear constraints. Matrix algebra serves as the mathematical foundation for representing and solving these problems. The focus of this project is on a real-world production problem, where the goal is to maxime the profit of the production. By formulating the problem using matrix algebra and applying the simplex method, the project demonstrates how complex optimization problems can be efficiently solved. Software tool (Excel) is used to implement the simplex method and solve the problems. The results are analyzed to high-light the practical implications of using linear programming in production optimization, emphasizing the advantages of the simplex method over other approaches.
