FABRICATION OF STAINLESS-STEEL BREAD RACK
Abstract
Abstract
The production of stainless-steel bread racks is essential in the bakery sector, providing sanitary storage, effective cooling, and prolonged freshness for baked products. This research examines the design, material choices, and production methods used to create long-lasting, food-grade stainless-steel racks for bread storage. Stainless steel (commonly grades 304 or 316) is favored for its resistance to rust, easy maintenance, and adherence to food safety regulations. The manufacturing process includes laser cutting, bending, welding, and polishing to create smooth, seamless surfaces that inhibit bacterial growth. Critical design factors include weight capacity, ventilation for optimal airflow, and stackable features to save space. Perforated metal sheets are frequently incorporated to improve air circulation, preventing excess moisture and mold. Modular designs also offer flexibility to meet different bakery needs. Strict quality checks, such as weld inspections and surface finish evaluations, ensure compliance with industry standards. This study emphasizes innovations in fabrication, such as automated welding and powder coating for increased durability. Findings show that well-crafted stainless-steel racks enhance storage efficiency, reduce contamination hazards, and streamline bakery operations. Future studies could investigate affordable hybrid materials and energy-saving designs to further improve functionality.
