Abstract

This study evaluates the role of life assurance as a strategic tool for long-term retirement savings among working-class individuals in Kwara State, Nigeria. With growing concerns about financial security in old age and the evolving nature of retirement planning, life assurance is examined not only as a traditional risk management product but also as a vehicle for disciplined financial accumulation. Adopting a descriptive survey design, data were collected from 287 respondents across public and private sectors using structured questionnaires.
