Abstract

This paper presents the design and development of a portable, compact hybrid power supply system engineered to provide versatile and reliable off-grid and emergency electrical power. The core of the unit integrates a high-efficiency 1000W modified sine wave inverter, capable of delivering clean AC power for sensitive electronics, alongside multiple 5V DC output ports for direct USB-powered device charging. Energy storage is provided by a robust 12V, 60Ah sealed lead-acid battery, offering a substantial reserve for extended operation. A critical component of the system is a 30A pulse-width modulation (PWM) solar charge controller, which enables efficient recharging of the battery bank from compatible solar panels, promoting sustainability and operational independence. The integrated design ensures a seamless transition between power sources, providing uninterrupted AC and DC power for a wide range of applications, including camping, tailgating, mobile workstations, and emergency home backup. This hybrid power supply unit successfully demonstrates a practical, user-friendly, and eco-conscious solution for modern portable energy needs.
