A PROPOSED BUS TERMINAL FOR IDAH LOCAL GOVERNMENT
Abstract
This study is titled: A Proposed Bus Terminal for Idah Local Government. In achieving this study some objectives were used: to provide a well landscaped environment for circulation. to create facilities that would encourage maintenance culture to increase the terminal viability, an environment suitable for comfort. also, to create security work and interaction with proper requirement. The findings revealed that transportation is an integral part of the functioning of the society, the transport system improve the social, economic, industrial, commercial progress and transform the society into and organized one. It is one of the most essential services, vital force for determining the directions of Development. To achieve the desired transportation balance and the system to be efficient, it is Essential to provide organized facilities in the system One of these facilities is a bus terminal; Buses form the backbone of the public transport in any country. Transportation of people became paramount for man in other to improve in his standard of living as he moved from one place to another to satisfy some basic needs which are connected to his business social cultural or recreational duties. This project gear towards a standard means by which people can reach job, medical, housing, cultural, and recreational facilities with a subsidize fare, time, comfort, and security.
