Abstract

ABSTRACT Fruit processing industrial building that obtains fruit waste from various previous uses and make them into new versions of fruit. It is a versatile raw material for making things like fruit lumber for construction, tubes for bottle making and even fruit fabric. The project is a Sustainable fruit waste recycling factory that uses fruit wastes, thereby reducing the effect of it's pollution. the main objective was actualized in the development of this thesis. A review of the client and user needs was carefully analyzed, the functional and spatial requirements of fruit waste recycling factories as well as the recycling process were studied. Two local and one international case studies of waste recycling factories were carried out, and the required elements that will make the proposed factory a Sustainable building were examined for incorporation into the design of the proposed building. The research further explain how it is relevant that the stringent measure is adopted for successful management of the city's fruit waste to achieve maximum Sustainable control over as fruit waste, promoting zero waste status and and energy saving for the built environment and when judiciously followed will give a healthier and cleaner environment. In conclusion, Nigeria could save billion in revenue if waste fruit is recycled instead of it being Left in dumpsters or incinerated. The federal government could invest more in Sustainable waste management initiative that would drastically reduce pollution in the country.
