Abstract
The research, “impact of information and communication technology on efficiency of service delivery in first bank plc. Main branch Abuja” This study is intended to explore the Impact of internet banking on the efficiency service delivery in the banking service with reference to First Bank Plc Abuja. There are various challenges that determine an information communication in banking such as infrastructure, training and qualification, adaptability and responsiveness, management systems and cost. Both primary and secondary methods of data collection were used for this study. The population was determined, sample drawn and questionnaires designed for data collection. The researcher used both primary and secondary sources of data collection which was used in gathering tangible information that the researcher used to analyze in chapter four. The Chi-square statistical tool was used to test hypotheses where the calculated X2 is greater than the tabulated X2. Hence, the H0 is rejected and the H1 is accepted. Data was collected, analyzed and interpreted. The study therefore recommends that, use of ICT in the banking sector should not only be restricted to the cities alone and Staff should be used side by side with ICT rather than reducing human capital which will in turn lead to unemployment in the country.
