EFFECT OF CEMENT PRODUCTION ON AGRICULTURE IN GBOKO; A CASE STUDY OF DANGOTE PLANT IN MBAYION COMMUNITY 1975-2023
Abstract
ABSTRACT
Since 1979, Ghanaian migrants have played a significant role in Nigeria's socio-economic
landscape. This analysis aims to explore the dynamics of this integration over the past four
decades. By examining various factors such as employment patterns, business ownership,
cultural assimilation, and social relationships, one can gain a comprehensive understanding of
how Ghanaian migrants have adapted and contributed to Nigerian society. The study utilized a
combination of primary and secondary sources of data collection to assess the level of
integration among Ghanaian migrants in Nigeria. Interviews with migrants, surveys, and data
analysis will be conducted to provide a detailed overview of their socio-economic status.
Additionally, historical context and governmental policies were considered to understand the
overarching framework that has shaped this integration process. However, this analysis
contributes to the existing literature on migration and integration by offering insights into the
experiences of Ghanaian migrants in Nigeria. By highlighting their contributions and
challenges, one can develop a better understanding of the complexities of cross-border
migration and its impact on socio-economic development.
