Abstract

ABSTRACT With growing car parking needs due to an increase in the number of car users, there is a rising demand for efficient parking solutions. The Smart Parking Management System (SPMS) proposed in this paper leverages Arduino components, Android applications, and Internet of Things (IoT) technology. This system enables users to check for available parking spaces and reserve spots directly from their mobile devices. Infrared (IR) sensors are employed to detect whether a parking space is occupied or available. The data regarding the status of these spaces is transmitted via a Wi-Fi module to a server, which can be accessed by the mobile application. This application provides various features in an attractive manner at no cost to users, allowing them to view reservation details easily. By utilizing IoT technology, the smart parking system can wirelessly connect and efficiently track available parking locations.
