INFLUENCE OF ACQUISITION OF FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT SKILLS ON OTM STUDENTS ENTREPRENEURSHIP GOALS IN FIVE SELECTED POLYTECHNICS IN OYO STATE
Abstract
ABSTRACT
This study examined the influence of acquisition of financial management skills on OTM students
entrepreneurship goals in five selected polytechnics in Oyo State. The main purpose of the study
was to examine the impact of on the professional competence of office technology and
management entrepreneurial education graduates. two (3) research questions were stated. A
descriptive research method was used to carry out the research work. 406 students were selected
as the population. The data were statically analyzed using simple percentage method. The findings
discovered that Risk taking, initiator of ideas, controlling and provision of capital are the important
functions of entrepreneurs in business. Global unemployment crisis has affected employment
potentials of Office Technology and Management graduates. Graduates of Office Technology and
Management profession can be employed as an office assistance that is to keep records,
correspondences and make itinerary arrangements. The researchers therefore recommended that,
Office Technology and Management should be combined as a course with entrepreneurial skills
for growing business. That every worker should be taken into consideration in order to ensure
excellent performance
