Abstract

challenges may be exacerbated by sociocultural factors, including the prevalence of indigenous languages and varying levels of English language exposure among students. As a result, the perceived adequacy of the curriculum may vary among teachers based on their experiences and the unique context of their schools. Given the critical role of the English language in Nigeria's educational system and the specific challenges faced in Kano Municipal Local Government Area, this study seeks to explore teachers' perceptions of the impact and adequacy of the senior secondary school English language curriculum. The findings from this study are expected to contribute to ongoing discussions on curriculum development and provide insights that can guide efforts to improve English language education in the area
