Abstract

ABSTRACT The study investigates the Corrosion Inhibition of Stainless Steel in 2MH2SO4 Using EthanolicBiomass Extract Balanite Egyptiaca Leaf. The extract was obtained through ethanol extractionof dried and pulverized leaves. Corrosion inhibition performance was evaluated usingweight loss. Results revealed that the inhibition ef iciency increased with increasing extract concentration, indicating ef ective adsorption of phytochemical constituents onto the stainless-steel surface. The study demonstrates that Balanite Egyptiaca leaf extract provides anecofriendly, cost-ef ective, and sustainable alternative to conventional synthetic corrosion inhibitorsfor stainless steel in acidic environments.
