DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF STAFF DUTY RECORD MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (A CASE STUDY OF STATE COLLEGE, IKOT EKPENE)
Abstract
This research study is focused on web based staff duty record management system using State College, Ikot Ekpene as a case study. The system was necessary because different duties are assigned to the workers and there is need to maintain proper record of the duties assigned to every teaching or non-teaching staff. This will make it easier for the management of the secondary school to obtain needed reports of the responsibilities assigned to the workers in the school. The manual system of managing this information is time consuming and it is also difficult to easily update duty records. To overcome these problems, a software system is needed to automate the manual process. The benefit of the system is that it will enable the management of the institution to easily assign and update duties record. The software development methodology used is object oriented analysis and design methodology (OOADM), the programming language used is PHP and the database used is MySql.
