Abstract

This study examined the impact of infrastructural development and project completion advertisement on voting patterns of the electorate in Ede North Local Government, Osun State. The research aimed to determine how political actors utilize infrastructural projects and media advertisements to influence voter decisions. The study adopted a survey research method with a sample size of 200 respondents selected through random sampling. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed using frequency tables and simple percentages. Findings revealed that infrastructural development significantly influences voter perception and electoral choices, while project completion advertisements play a persuasive role in shaping public opinion. The study also found that voters are more likely to support candidates who visibly execute projects and effectively communicate such achievements through media channels. The study concluded that infrastructural development and strategic communication are powerful tools in modern political campaigns. It recommended that political leaders should focus on genuine development rather than mere promotional strategies to gain sustainable electoral support.
