Abstract

ABSTRACT This project is titled the “construction of DC to Ac inverter system”. A power inverter is a device that converts DC (Direct current/power to standard Ac (Alternating current) power. Inverters are used to prepare electrical equipment from the power produced by a car or both battery or rechargeable energy source like solar panel, or wind turbine. A DC power is what batteries stores, while Ac is what most electrical appliances need to run so an inverter is necessary to convert the power into a usable form, it is designed to meet supply from the natural supply authority. In other words, the device/ item serves as a substitute for NEPA, which almost monopolies the people. It is designed in such a way that it will take up 12v DC from battery and inverts it to an output of 240v, 50Hz. It makes no noise during operation and no hazardous carbon monoxide is generated in the surrounding. This is a future that makes it safe to use anywhere when compared to generator. Also, the circuit is capable of changing the battery (i.e 12 source) when the power from the supply authority, is on this greatly reduce the cost of operation of the system.
