Abstract

This project investigates the impact of goat droppings (organic fertilizer) and inorganic fertilizer on the growth and yield of eggplant (Solanum melongena). The study explores how a combination of organic and inorganic fertilizers influences eggplant productivity in Anyigha, Nigeria. The main objective is to evaluate the effects of poultry manure and NPK (15:15:15) fertilizer on eggplant growth, measuring parameters like plant height, leaf number, and fruit yield. The study reveals that a combined application of organic and inorganic fertilizers significantly enhances plant growth and yield compared to using either fertilizer alone. Specifically, the combination of 6 tons of poultry manure per hectare and 100 kg/ha of NK Jertilizer produced the best results, showing the highest plant height, leaf number, and fruit yield.
