Abstract

The domestic environment represents the foundational matrix where an individual's cognitive, behavioral, and psychological traits are developed. Within this structural framework, the specific behavioral typologies and emotional climates established by parents—collectively defined as parenting styles—play an indispensable role in shaping student outcomes. This study investigated the Influence of Parenting Styles on Adolescents' Academic Achievement in Asari-Toru Local Government Area, Rivers State. The primary objective was to determine the predominant parenting styles practiced within these coastal Kalabari communities and evaluate their direct empirical relationship with the cumulative academic performance of senior secondary school students.
