Abstract

This work establishes that civil engineering is pivotal to the infrastructural development of Abia state and drives economic growth and citizen well-being. A key agency for achieving all this is ASOPADEC through its public infrastructural projects. Employing a methodolog whose principles comprise simple enumeration, structured classification and analyses of generated data on public infrastructure projects done by ASOPADEC within the period 2017-2021 the point is established that civil engineering is at the core of all infrastructure projects in Abia State, and the economic growth and development that come with them.
