Abstract

Abstract The research presents a detailed study of the geo-thermal potential of Benue Lower region through Gboko. The study aimed to provide an accurate and comprehensive description of geothermal potential of Benue lower region through Gboko. The research showed a detailed geological map of the study area and also the curie point debt (CPD) Map of the study area. The research focused on the exploration and characteristics of geothermal potential. The spectral analysis on each of the blocks of aeromagnetic data was processed using the magmap extension option in Oasis Montaj. The result showed a chat of wave number which showed the depth top of the source and showing the depth of the centroid. The research concluded that the curie point depth showed that the eastern half of the study area was characterized with shallow CPD and western half was characterized with deep CPD
