Abstract

ABSTRACT This report details the design, implementation, and testing of an Arduino-based AC voltage protection and monitoring system. The primary objective of this project was to develop a low-cost, real-time solution for monitoring AC mains voltage and providing protection against under-voltage and over-voltage conditions. The system utilizes an Arduino Nano microcontroller, a ZMPT101B voltage sensor for accurate AC voltage measurement, and a 5V relay module to disconnect the load during abnormal voltage events. A 16x2 LCD display provides real-time voltage readings and status indicators. The system also incorporates visual (multicolor LEDs) and audible (buzzer) alerts for different voltage conditions. Experimental results demonstrate the system's ability to accurately measure AC voltage and effectively trigger protective actions, thereby safeguarding connected appliances from voltage fluctuations
