Abstract
This study investigated the influence of time management on the administrative success of principals in secondary schools within Jalingo Local Government Area, Taraba State. A survey research design was adopted, and data were collected using a structured questionnaire administered to 200 principals, vice principals, and senior staff selected through random sampling. The instrument's validity was confirmed through expert review, and its reliability was established using Pearson's product-moment correlation coefficient. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, mean scores, and Chi-square at a 0.05 level of significance. Findings revealed that effective time management significantly enhanced principals' ability to prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and make strategic decisions, ultimately improving school administration and fostering educational success. Strategies such as time-blocking, leveraging technology, and continuous professional development were identified as effective for optimizing time management. The study concluded that time management is pivotal to principals' administrative success and recommended targeted training, clear time management policies, and provision of support staff to enhance efficiency.
