Abstract

This study examines the marital lifestyle of Khadijatu Bint Khuwailid (RA), the first wife of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), and its lessons for contemporary Muslim wives in Katsina Metropolis. The research explores her upbringing, family background, and her role as a supportive spouse, highlighting her exemplary character, virtues, and contributions to Islam. It analyzes the dynamics of her marriage, focusing on key values such as mutual respect, trust, communication, patience, and sacrifice, which are essential for building strong marital relationships. The study identifies challenges faced by Khadijah (RA) during her marital life and compares them with the challenges faced by modern Muslim wives in Katsina. It also provides practical strategies and recommendations drawn from her life that can help contemporary Muslim wives address common marital issues, improve spousal relationships, and maintain faith-driven households. The findings emphasize that adopting Khadijah’s (RA) character traits can foster stronger, more stable marriages, contributing to the moral and social development of Muslim families in Katsina Metropolis.
