STABILITY ANALYSIS OF A DC MOTOR WITH CONTROLLABILITY AND OBSERVABILITY
Abstract
The stability analysis of direct current (DC) motor systems holds significant importance in various engineering applications, ranging from robotics to industrial automation. Understanding the stability characteristics of these systems is essential for designing effective control strategies that ensure reliable performance and system behavior. In this context, this paper presents an investigation into the stability of a DC motor system, with a particular emphasis on analyzing its controllability and observability properties. This project presents a comprehensive analysis of the stability of a direct current (DC) motor system, with a focus on examining its controllability and observability characteristics. The study employs mathematical modelling techniques to represent the dynamics of the DC motor system and investigates its stability under different operating conditions. Controllability analysis is conducted to assess the system’s ability to be controlled through external inputs, while observability analysis evaluates the feasibility of inferring the system’s internal state from its outputs. By integrating concepts from control theory and system identification, this research aims to provide valuable insights into the stability properties of DC motor systems, facilitating the design of robust control strategies for practical applications.
