The study traces the arrival of Christianity in Abocho, the methods used by early missionaries, ard the response of the local people to the new faith. It examines the areas of cultural changebrought about by Christianity, such as language use, marriage customs, festivals, moral values, dressing, and the role of traditional religion. Using both oral interviews and written sources, theresearch uncovers how Christianity has contributed to the transformation of the Abochopeople's worldview, challenging some traditional beliefs while also blending with certaincultural
epressions. The study also investigates the tension between Christianity and indigenous
practices, and how the people have managed the balance between their faith and cultural

continues to shape the culture of Abocho, creating a dynamic relationship between faithandtradition in the community.
