Abstract

In following Aristotle’s position of politics as shown in his Nicomachean Ethics, this research will equip one to understand that, the current human right issues in Nigerian, can only be solved when a deep consideration is been given to what Aristotle described as the happy life, which is intended for man by nature as one lived in accordance with virtue, and, in his Politics, he describes the role that politics and the political community must play in bringing about the virtuous life in the citizenry. For easy understanding of his Politics, we shall be using an analytical method to provide an analysis of the kinds of political community that existed in his time and shows where and how these cities fall short of the ideal community of virtuous citizens which has become the current predicaments faced by Nigeria. In conclusion, it will be understood that in some way or the order, Nigeria has clearly wallowing deep down beyond the question of human right in Aristotelian political philosophy, due to the decay in morality and human value.
