Abstract

ABSTRACT This study investigated the relationship between chemistry students' interest and their academic achievement among secondary school students in science-related subjects. A sample size of 291 respondents was selected to examine the level of students’ interest in chemistry, the factors influencing this interest, and the extent to which this interest affects their academic success. The study employed a structured questionnaire based on a Likert scale (Strongly Agree, Agree, Neutral, Disagree, and Strongly Disagree) to gather responses. The findings presented in this chapter are based on responses to questions that evaluated students' attitudes towards chemistry, the external and internal factors that influence these attitudes, and the relationship between interest in the subject and academic performance.
