Abstract

The study investigates whether financial accounting reporting facilitates corporate organisations in achieving their set objectives. Previous research established financial accounting ratios as predictive tools for identifying successful companies. The study will examine these ratios during its various phases. The research aims to determine whether these companies follow existing laws while satisfying their stakeholder requirements. Most of the data were collected from primary and secondary sources. The main instruments for secondary data collection involve using questionnaires, oral interviews, and observations, while text books and journals serve as the secondary data sources. The research team applied chi-square analysis to assess the collected responses. The research uncovered important issues related to financial reporting, including that financial information preparers use subjective judgments and estimates which were uncovered by research, important financial details were not disclosed, and preparers of financial information mostly failed to follow required legal and regulatory standards. The following recommendations require action. The Corporate Organizations should on a Strengthening basis create thus active regulatory agencies so as to ensure that Financial Statements at all times give a “true and fair view and comply with all relevant statutes”.
