Abstract

This study examines the impact of industrial disputes on organizational performance in the Nigerian banking industry, focusing on selected banks. Industrial disputes, including strikes, lockouts, and disagreements between management and employees, have become a significant concern affecting productivity and service delivery in the banking sector. The study adopts a survey research design, collecting data through structured questionnaires distributed to employees of selected banks. Findings reveal that industrial disputes negatively affect employee productivity, service delivery, and overall organizational performance. The study concludes that effective communication, fair labor practices, and conflict resolution strategies are essential in minimizing disputes. Recommendations are provided to enhance harmonious industrial relations in the banking sector.
