Abstract

This study examined the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on office administration efficiency on Office Technology and Management (OTM) graduates in selected organizations in Kwara State. The study was motivated by the increasing adoption of AI tools in the workplace and their potential to transform administrative tasks, improve productivity, and enhance decision-making. A descriptive survey design was adopted, and data were collected through structured questionnaires administered to ninety (90) respondents drawn from three organizations in Kwara State. The instrument was divided into sections that captured demographic data, use of AI tools, perceived impact on efficiency, and challenges associated with AI utilization. The data collected were analyzed using frequency counts, percentages, and mean scores, while hypotheses were tested using Pearson correlation and regression analyses. The findings revealed that AI significantly enhances administrative efficiency by automating repetitive tasks such as data entry, scheduling, and record management. Results further showed that AI adoption improves accuracy, reduces work stress, and enhances multitasking capacity among OTM graduates. However, challenges identified include inadequate training, high cost of AI tools, and limited organizational support for digital transformation. The study concluded that AI adoption plays a crucial role in improving office administration performance and overall organizational efficiency. It was recommended that organizations should invest in AI-based administrative tools, provide regular training for staff, and create supportive digital infrastructures to optimize the benefits of AI integration in office management.
