DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF PAST QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS REPOSITORY SYSTEM (A CASE STUDY OF COMPUTER SCIENCE NBPZ)
Abstract
ABSTRACT
In educational institutions, past questions and answers serve as essential resources for students’ academic preparation and performance improvement. This project focuses on the Design and Implementation of a Past Questions and Answers Repository System, using Computer Science at NBPZ as a case study. The primary goal of this system is to provide a well-organized, searchable, and accessible digital platform where students can easily retrieve past examination questions and their corresponding answers. This system is designed as a web-based or desktop application that allows students to browse, search, and download past questions by course code, semester, and academic year. It also incorporates a user-friendly interface with categorized subjects, keyword-based search functionality, and a secure authentication system to ensure authorized access. The repository is built using PHP, MySQL, and HTML/CSS for web-based deployment or Python with SQLite for a desktop solution. The implementation of this system enhances students' academic preparation by offering an efficient means of accessing relevant past examination materials. It also provides lecturers with an easy-to-manage platform for uploading and updating exam archives. The system ultimately contributes to improved learning outcomes and reduces students' reliance on unreliable or outdated study materials.
