Abstract

Abstract This research work examines the relationship between management innovation and technological innovation on the promotion of effectiveness of sustainability at Tuyil Pharmaceutical Company, Ilorin, Kwara State. In using quantitative survey design, data were gathered from 70 employees from different functional units using structured Likert scale questionnaire. Stratified random sampling was used to ensure representation from a wide range of sources, and data analysis used descriptive statistics, Cronbach's alpha reliability tests, Pearson correlation, and regression analysis using the statistical software package, SPSS. Findings show a significant positive relationship between management innovation, technological innovation and sustainable practices, highlighting the contribution of progressive management approaches towards technology driven sustainability (Teece et al., 1997). Some of the main barriers to integration were resistance to change, cost, and data security, while some of the critical success factors were leadership commitment, staff training, and strategic alignment (Damanpour & Aravind, 2019). The synergy of both types of innovation improved productivity, operational efficiency and employee satisfaction significantly. The study concludes that the integration of management and technological innovations is a viable path to improved sustainability performance in pharmaceutical firms. Recommendations include building capacity to innovate management, making greater strategic investment in green technologies, integrating sustainability into key planning processes, encouraging cross-functional collaboration and establishing regular impact assessments. Limitations include single-case design and cross-section approach in the future research should be based on longitudinal design and multi-firm comparison to understand more.
