PHYTOCHEMICAL AND ANTIBACTERIA ACTIVITY OF THE METHANOLIG SEED EXTRACT OF ACACIA NILOTICA ON ECOLI AND SALMONELLA.
Abstract
A study was Carrie's to determine phytochemical and antibacterial activity of
the metabolic seed extract of Acacia nilotica. Standard method was used to
determine the antibacterial activity and phytochemical. The results obtained
shows that all the phytochemical constitute were present except saponins for
the antibacterial activity E. coli has the highest zone( 3.95mm) of inhibition in
the ethanol extract while Salmonella typhi has the lowest zone of inhibition
(1.55mm): The finding from the phytochemical analysis of Acacia nilotica seed
underscore it's potential as a source of bioactive compounds with significant
medicinal properties. Future research should focus on isolating these
compounds to further explore their pharmacological activities and
mechanisms of action against specific pathogens.
