Abstract

ABSTRACT The rapid growth of technology and online services has made cybersecurity awareness a major concern for individuals and organizations. Many security incidents occur not only because of weak systems but also due to users’ lack of knowledge about safe online practices. This project, titled “Design and Implementation of a Cybersecurity Awareness Training Platform,” focuses on creating an interactive web-based application that educates users on common cyber threats, prevention techniques, and responsible online behavior. The system was developed using HTML, CSS, PHP, and MySQL, following the Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) model. It consists of major modules such as user registration, lesson tutorials, interactive quizzes, phishing simulations, and a question-and-answer forum. The platform also includes administrative features for managing lessons, users, and flagged posts. Testing confirmed that the system functions effectively and provides an engaging learning experience. Users were able to learn about phishing, password security, and data privacy through videos, simulations, and self-assessment quizzes. Results from user testing showed improved understanding of safe digital practices. Overall, the project demonstrates that interactive, web-based training tools can significantly enhance cybersecurity awareness. With further improvements, such as online deployment and mobile integration, the platform can serve as a sustainable educational tool for schools, organizations, and public institutions. Keywords: Cybersecurity, Awareness, Web-based Learning, Phishing Simulation, Interactive Training, Information Security.
