This study investigated the influence of school learning environment on students’ academic achievement in Basic Science in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State. The focus was on the effects of classroom facilities, laboratory facilities, health/sports/recreation facilities, library facilities, and instructional materials on students’ performance. A sample of 250 junior secondary school students was randomly selected from five government-owned schools using a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected with a structured questionnaire and analyzed using mean and standard deviation. The findings revealed that classroom, laboratory, health/sports/recreation, library facilities, and instructional materials all had varying levels of benchmark of 2.5, indicating positive contributions. The study concludes that a conducive learning environment significantly enhances achievement in Basic Science and recommends that schools be adequately provided with functional facilities and instructional resources to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
