Abstract

This study investigates the influence of e-commerce on the growth of small and medium-scale businesses in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State. The research examines how the adoption of e-commerce contributes to increased sales, market expansion, customer satisfaction, and profitability. A descriptive survey research design is adopted, with questionnaires used to collect data from selected SME owners and managers. The findings indicate that e-commerce has a positive influence on business growth by improving market access, reducing operational costs, and enhancing customer engagement. The study recommends increased digital literacy, improved internet infrastructure, and government support to encourage wider adoption of e-commerce among SMEs.
