DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF SOLAR POWERED SYSTEM WITH VARIABLE CHARGING OUTPUT (2.2V-7.5V DC)
Abstract
ABSTRACT
The aim of this research is to design and construction of solar powered system with variable charging outputs (2.2v-7.5v DC). Portable solar mobile phone charger is a power electronic device that converts the sun's radiation into electrical energy for the purpose of charging the batteries of mobile phones. The solar photovoltaic (PV) panel supplying the circuit has a maximum output voltage of 16.5 v to 22v Selection of the series resistor at the final output stage depends on the input voltage from the emitter of transistor T1, the voltage rating of the zener diode the base current of the transistor and the zener diode current. The designed and constructed solar pv variable charger has the following specification of 2.2v and 7.5 output, and 0.95A.
