THE IMPACT OF EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY IN TEACHING LEARNING' ENGLISH AT JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN GWALE L.G.A KANO STATE

The study was on The Impact of Educational Technology in Teaching Learning' English at Junior Secondary Schools in Gwale L.G.A Kano State. The study has three Objectives and three Research Questions respectively. Descriptive Survey Design was employed as the design for this study, the population of this study consisted of Secondary School teachers in some selected Junior Secondary Schools of Gwale local government area. Thirty (30) teachers were selected as the sample size for this study using research Advisors (2006) table. Researchers Developed questionnaire was used as the instrument for data collection. Frequency and Simple percentage was used as the tools for data analysis. Some of the findings offered by this study include: The Educational Technology facilities has effect in teaching and learning English at Junior Secondary Schools in Gwale Local Government Area, Kano state, Interactive learning board and Online Collaborative tools/Project method serves as main methods and strategies for the integration of Educational Technology in Teaching and learning English language at Junior Secondary Schools in Gwale Local Government Area, Kano state. Based on this finding the study proffered the following recommendations: Educational Technology Facilities should be made available for teaching and learning English, Schools Management and English Language teachers should employ more Strategies and methods for the integration of Educational technology in teaching and learning.
