Abstract

This project presents the design and implementation of a solar-powered fan aimed at providing an energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable cooling solution. The system harnesses solar energy through photovoltaic (PV) panels, which convert sunlight into electrical power to drive a DC fan and charge a battery for continuous operation. Key components—including the solar panel, charge controller, rechargeable battery, and fan unit—were selected and integrated to optimize performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. The design ensures stable power supply, efficient energy storage, and protection against overcharging and deep discharging. Testing results demonstrate that the solar-powered fan operates effectively under various sunlight conditions and offers a viable alternative to grid-powered cooling systems, especially in areas with limited or unreliable electricity. This project highlights the potential of renewable energy technologies in enhancing sustainability and improving comfort in low-resource environments.
