Solar energy is refers to as the energy from the sun; the conversion of the sunlight into
electricity gives us solar power. It allows any user with necessary receiving components
to receive the sun for its utilization by using photovoltaic (PV). Photovoltaic converts
light into an electric current and this current can be converted into alternating current
(AC),using an inverter and also stored using well-arranged batteries. Solar energy do
not emit any pollutants and it is permanent as the sun is always shinning, so it is
necessary to develop the solar energy sector to reduce the risk of climate change and
to make the air we breathe more safer, also to produce energy locally and reduce
dependence on foreign sources of energy. The inverter used in this research work is
hybrid inverter. After installation of the solar inverter, the input signal in DC was 396w
power rating, 18A current and 220-240V voltage rate while the output signal in AC was
1500w power rating, 6.25A current and 220-240V voltage rate. The efficiency and
reliability of the inverter is considered one of the most important factors for the
success of the solar system. Hybrid inverter systems are preferred inverters to be used
in institutions to supply the main grid with amperes at times when these institutions
are out of business hours.
