Yhis h isieiled the implication of unemuplowment among the Nigerian youths on tme
securiy. Four r research questions were raised and answered in the study. The research design of
the study is descriptive survey, The population consisled theself-employed and unemployed
youths in Ondo West Local Government area of Ondo State. The samnple size of the study was oj
wo hundred (200) youths purposively selected to participate in the study. The researcher se-

unemployment among the Nigerian youth is very high; that many factors are responsible jor
unemployment in Nigeria such as adoption of untimely economic policy measures, lack of
employable skills and practical orientation in educational institutions among others; that
unemployment has negative effect on Nigerian youth; that there is relationship between the
l mM rate and cuwrent Nigerian insecurity, However, the findings among others
recommended that government should establishing strong linkage between entrepreneurship
skills education schools and industries in the area of students' internship or apprenticeship,
funding support and retraining of graduates, also Nigeria youths should be provided with start-
up capital in starting and expanding their businesses through cheaper access to loans, formation
