Abstract

This study examines the sculptural works of Momoh Innocent, a Nigerian contemporary artist known for transforming discarded metal into expressive artworks. The research explores his themes, materials, techniques, and creative processes, highlighting how he repurposes found objects to promote sustainability and environmental awareness. Primary data was gathered through interviews with the artist, alongside visual analysis of selected works and relevant literature. Findings reveal that Innocent blends traditional Nigerian sculptural heritage with innovative contemporary approaches, using metal scraps to address cultural, social, and ecological issues. The study contributes to documentation in Nigerian art scholarship and provides valuable insights for students, historians, and emerging sculptors.
